2024 Featured Subdivisions

Davis Park

Since 2007 and the inception of Orchard Park, Dr. Jewell Davis and partners have sought to develop unique and long-lasting residential developments.  Davis Park consists of one-acre lots on South Slide Road and 178th Street. (FM 1730 and CR 7700).

This area is proving to be one of the fastest-growing corridors outside the city limits. We are close to the new Cooper West High School, Red Feather Golf Course, and new retail at the intersection of Highway 41 and Slide Road including a new GEBOs, and a new gas station.

Also, tucked into the Northeast corner of our development is a new fire station manned by the Woodrow Volunteer Fire Department- the Davis Park Fire Station.

Phase One had 54 lots and was sold out in 2022.  As of May 5, 2024, Phase 2 has 43 total lots, 20 are closed, 8 more under contract, so at the time of the 2024 Parade there will be less than 15 lots available.  Phase 3 to come in 2025!

Also of great interest is the water table under Davis Park. Water is found from a depth of 112 feet to 180 feet, and the interactive maps from the High Plains Underground Water Conservation District show that there is a water table 40-44 feet thick, so we  have excellent water availability estimated to last 30 years and longer.

We look forward to hosting you at Davis Park!

The Overlook

In 2015 Chad Tarver, Jordan Wheatley, Trey Strong and Robert Wood had an opportunity to buy land in northwest Lubbock, so they began their partnership and developed Lincoln 16. The success of this venture, and their enjoyment of working together, led them to acquire land in Wolfforth and commence the development of The Overlook.

Although all four men are homebuilders, they are also business partners in their development endeavors. One might expect competition among them, and while there is some friendly rivalry, their friendship and working relationship prevail. Chad Tarver and Jordan Wheatley are business partners with 806 Land Group, while Trey Strong and Robert Wood are business partners with West Texas Land Guys.

Chad Tarver and Jordan Wheatley, the 806 Land Group, formed their partnership in 2017. Chad and Jordan both have extensive experience in various aspects of construction, material sales, subcontracting and building. This industry experience has helped them successfully develop Uptown West, Burgamy Park, and Terra Vista. Having worked in the Lubbock area for over 20 years, Chad and Jordan are grateful to be involved in the city's growth. Trey Strong and Robert Wood, better known as the West Texas Land Guys, formed their partnership in 2014. They have successfully developed several neighborhoods, including Fox Ridge, Bushland Springs, Cantera, Escondido Crossing, Escondido Ranch, The Vineyards at Escondido Ranch and Sedona. In 2023, they took their talents to San Angelo and Abilene, as they continue building world-class custom homes in and around the Lubbock area.

These four individuals have dedicated themselves to ensuring that The Overlook becomes a beautiful, safe, and affordable neighborhood. They look forward to hosting The Overlook in the 2024 Parade of Homes.
