Primrose Pointe is one of the newest subdivisions within the city limits of Lubbock. It is adjacent to Frenship ISD’s newest Elementary School, Oak Ridge Elementary. Primrose is named for a future interior street, Primrose Avenue, and will eventually contain over 350 new homes.
Located along the Milwaukee Corridor, between 66th street and 82nd street, Primrose Pointe offers you excellent choices for your new home. Primrose Pointe can be entered from Milwaukee Avenue from either 68th or 70th street and features beautiful homes from FOUR of Lubbock’s best known builders – David Rogers Homes, Kim Craig Construction, Art Cuevas Construction and Royal Homes. These homes are in the $160-225,000.00 price range.
There are about 540 acres in the project. When completed, there will be about 1,000 single family homes, a number of multi-family dwellings, a city park, and numerous businesses. Many businesses have built or will be building along 82nd street and on Milwaukee. All the popular fast-food restaurants are represented (McDonalds, Burger King, What-a-Burger, Taco Bell, Taco Villa, Double Dave’s, Pedro’s Tamales, Baskin-Robbins, and Der Wienerschnitzel) are within a minute or so and others (Rosas, Cracker Barrel, and Starbucks) are just north across the Marsha Sharp Freeway on Milwaukee. Canyon West Shopping Center (Lubbock’s newest Mall) is also just across the Marsha Sharp Freeway and offers many exciting stores including Target, World Market, Petsmart, and a high-tech entertainment center, Main Event.
Development has gone rapidly – most of the First Phase lots are sold and a Second Phase has been completed and all of those lots are sold. Primrose features reliable electricity from South Plains Electric Coop, natural gas from Atmos Energy, and communications (phone, internet, TV) from ATT and Suddenlink.
A Third Phase that will double the size of Primrose Pointe is under construction and slated for completion in late 2012-early 2013. Homes in Primrose are selling in the $170,000 – 240,000 range and has been chosen by the West Texas Homebuilders Association as one of the sites for the 2013 Parade of Homes.
Primrose Pointe is a wonderful choice for a quality neighborhood, within walking distance of Oak Ridge Elementary, and offers easy access to all of Lubbock via Marsha Sharp Freeway. Canyon West (Lubbock’s newest mall) is minutes away to the north, and the new Wal-Mart and associated businesses are just minutes away to the south via Milwaukee Avenue.
